Tsala Consultants have extensive experience in compiling EIAs and EMPs for authorisation and funding requirements. All aspects of the required professional studies are managed and integrated.

A wide range of specialists are employed to compile the detailed sections of EIAs and EMPs. These are mostly sourced from a group of specialist associates where in-house skills lack the specificity required for the project. The reports are compiled after consultation with relevant government departments.

Environmental Management System (EMS) Development

Tsala Consultants will ensure that all required management actions identified as part of the project are accounted for, assigned to a responsible person, monitored and reported on.

Assistance to clients include the development of EMS systems, in line with International Standards (ISO14001) where applicable, as well as preparation for ISO14001 accreditation.

Both qualitative and quantitative data is used in the assessment processes to provide a description of the baseline environment and potential impacts as a result of development. The EMPs developed describe how impacts will be mitigated and managed over the life of the project.

Strategic Environmental Assessments

Strategic environmental assessment is done on a regional or industry basis to fully understand the risks, impacts and the optimal development path. The various aspects are integrated through GIS and a regional development plan established.
